A Recap of The Bachelor From A Guy – Episode 6

Two-on-One Date

Oh. Hell. Yes. Feels like it’s been three seasons since we’ve had a good ol’ fashioned two-on-one date, where two girls enter the ring with The Bachelor, and only one is allowed to get the rose. Peter sends a date card to the hotel asking for Mykenna and Tammy to join him a few hours prior to the cocktail party, adding “enough is enough.”

A penalty shot in hockey.

A shot at the buzzer in basketball.

A two-point conversion for the win in football.

And the classic two-on-one date in The Bachelor.

What are things that really get my engines revving and make me feel alive, Alex? Ding, ding, ding. You win the daily double.

The last solid two-on-one I can remember was when Chris Soules and Ashley I. left crazy Kelsey in the middle of the desert. Obviously, this one felt more like an impromptu two-on-one, as he just had them show up ahead of time for the cocktail party, but at this point, I’ll take what I can get.

While the girls waited for Peter to arrive, Mykenna felt like the awkward silence between them was the perfect time for her to go on a rant of epic proportions. This girl wasn’t just giving Tam Tam a piece of her mind, she was speaking at a Women’s Rights March.

My girl Lauren Zima was able to transcribe the whole thing:

Is it too late to throw Mykenna’s name into the presidential race? I mean, I don’t think they’ve got the Iowa Caucuses results back yet, so probably not, right? And sure, she’s Canadian, but a rant like that sounds so American, I feel like it was ripped straight off my crazy aunt’s Facebook page.

Also, it should be noted that Mykenna was touting how strong she was while tears were building up in her eyes. Tammy stayed silent until Peter came out.

I’m well aware that Peter is a pilot, but the dude has been more of a fireman with the number of fires he keeps putting out on this show. He tells the girls that he’s ready to get to the bottom of their feud because they clearly can’t both stay on this show together. So he pulls the girls alone to get their sides of the story, and since he’s the most gullible human God has graced this earth with, he believes anything they tell him.

Tam Tam says something about Mykenna’s not there for the right reasons, blah blah blah, hashtags, blah blah blah. Then Mykenna gets her turn and says, no I AM here for the right reasons, blah blah blah, I don’t care about hashtags, blah blah blah.

Then the girls were back sitting with each other and the 5th grade bickering continued. This led to Mykenna breaking down the fourth wall, saying, “Just wait and see, I won’t be the villain this season.” Admittedly, this felt weird. Like, wait, is that really on your mind? Really that paired with the over dramatization of everything are the only areas where I think Mykenna was in the wrong here.

Peter comes back and tells Mykenna he trusts her, and told Tam Tam that you don’t have to go home, but Leon is waiting with your Uber outside.

That’s right. We got not one, but TWO tearful backseat van shots this episode! Well… kinda. Because Tam Tam was more pissed than sad. She did less crying over Peter and more crapping on him.
