A Recap of The Bachelor From A Guy – Season Finale Part 2

The Final 30 Minutes

I can sit here and honestly tell you that I have never in my life felt more alive than I did in the final 30 minutes of this Season 24 Finale Part 2. It was electric. I take back every negative word I ever wrote about this season based solely on this insane ending.

Chris brings out Madison to sit down next to Peter and the three of them talk about their relationship. Madison says, “I love Peter, and that hasn’t changed since that day in Australia.” So how is this thing going to end? Are we getting a live proposal or did Neil Lane drive all this way for nothing… for the SECOND time tonight?

“We’ve both been through the wringer through all of this. I’ve made more mistakes than you can ever make as the Bachelor,” Peter said as the understatement of the century. His tenure as The Bachelor was train wreck, err, sorry, a plane wreck (PP). “I know how we both feel about each other, and I think like taking one step at a time, one day at a time, is possibly the smartest way to go with this.”

But enough about you two, how did Barb feel?

The Bachelor frame grab

Brace. For. Impact. (PP)

Barb bragged about how everyone in her DM’s loved her from the previous night’s episode and then said, “Chris of course I have my feelings. And the show last night, it didn’t show everything. When I went for Hannah Ann, she was the one who embraced me with love.” She then said that things with Madison started off on a “rocky road.” Uhhh, yeah, you guys were in the middle of a DESERT! Barb continued, “She had us wait three hours for her to come in. She didn’t want to meet us.” Could you imagine having to wait THREE HOURS on an all-expenses paid trip to the other side of the globe to meet the woman your son could potentially spend the REST OF HIS LIFE with? You got somewhere to be, Barb? Did you miss out on the sightseeing in the Australian desert? That sand isn’t going anywhere.

Barb couldn’t stop, “We had just come across the world, we were exhausted… and we had to wait three hours. And when she did come in, the whole family, we didn’t get an apology from her. When I proceeded to ask her if she was madly in love with my son, she said no and she would not accept a proposal in four days.”

It’s one thing for Peter’s mom to be anti-Madison in Australia. I get that. But after watching the entire season and finally getting to see for herself the connection she had with Peter, and STILL not liking Madi? That’s absurd.

The Bachelor frame grab

Don’t worry, Madison defended herself, “At the end of the day it is what it is. You can’t change the past… I came into this journey and I said I was going to be unashamed of who I am and undeniably myself, and that is something that I’ve done throughout this entire journey.” Boom! Atta girl!

Then Peter tried saying something and then turned around to defend their relationship to his parents, but at this point everything Peter says is just noise. GIVE ME MORE BARB!

Barb says, that Madison and Peter are “completely two different people,” which isn’t wrong, and she added that only one of them is willing to compromise. That’s when Madison interrupts.

Part of me kind of wished Kelley would’ve screamed, “OBJECTION, YOUR HONOR!” from the back row.

Madison says, “I disagree.” The crowd cheers and woo’s! “This isn’t just Peter’s journey… This is my journey too and this isn’t just Peter choosing me, this is me choosing Peter.” YAAAAASSSS QUEEN! PREACH! She said she signed up for this show to find love too.

And just when you thought the referee was going to step in and stop this fight, Barb comes back with one last attempt when Chris asked her what she had to say to what Madison said:

“Chris, he’s going to have to fail to succeed.”

JAW. DROPPED.

I don’t smoke, but I felt like I needed a cigarette after that.

I mean, is this real life? Because Peter’s mom is legitimately a Disney Princess villain.

“Hannah Ann is an angel on earth, and trust me, I know angels on earth when I see them.”

Except Barb didn’t smile this much, or at all, come to think of it, outside of Hannah Ann being on screen. In fact, even Disney would be like, “Oooo, we can’t make a villain that mean.”

And as if you needed any more proof that Peter was the worst Bachelor not named Juan Pablo, he failed to interrupt and/or stick up once for Madison as her mom dragged her through the mud on national TV. Great job, Pete.

Then Chris Harrison turned to Peter’s 1980’s looking MLB player father for comment.

Peter’s dad basically said a couple shouldn’t have this many differences (not wrong) and a relationship should be starting off on their best foot, not whatever foot this relationship is starting on (again, not wrong).

The only way this relationship makes it to Easter Sunday (which Peter probably won’t attend) would be simply to spite Barb.

All this to say, I don’t think Barb should check her DM’s after tonight’s episode.

I’d like to wish best of luck to Madison and Peter. Not together as a couple, but individually. For Madison that she can find a new, God-fearing man who won’t try and boink two other women a week before proposing, and Peter that he can find a new girl… not to date, but to be his mom. Because let’s be real, no woman is going to want to date Pete knowing they’ll one day have to face the rath of Barb.

But hey, at least Barb will always have this picture to look at.
