We’ll Give You 22 Guesses As To Who’s Back On Top The NFL Rushing Lead, But You’ll Only Need One

Uh oh. Just when you thought Derrick Henry was washed, he scales the NFL’s rushing mountain yet again. Sure, it took a little longer than we may have expected, but isn’t that story of Derrick’s career? Not just in games, but in seasons. It’s why we say winter is coming. Because like Thanos, Derrick Henry is inevitable.

The man is a human freight train, and freight trains take a little bit to get up to full speed, but when they do, baby, watch out.

“But, but, look at his number of carries compared to Chubb’s!” If you wanna be like a colts fan and argue “yards per carry” go right ahead, nerd. But at the end of the day, the thing that matters is the yards you gain on the ground. Would you rather have a guy who gains 12 yards or 3 carries or 9 yards on 2? Give me the first down please. And look, Nick Chubb is great. But he’s great in the way Pepsi is great. If Coke is available, no one wants the Pepsi.

And not to add insult to injury (pun slightly intended), but if you’re looking for Jonathan Taylor on this list, he’s ironically ranked 22nd. Behind not one, but two quarterbacks (Lamar and Fields). “But… but… J.T.’s been injured!” Yes, you’re right. It’s not entirely fair. He’s missed two games. But remember that last year, when Derrick missed time, he was still leading the league in rushing after missing two games. Guess J.T. isn’t quite the MVP as everyone tried to claim.

Kings stay Kings. And so does Derrick.
