This past weekend Steve Nash and his wife gave birth to his first son, Matteo. The next day, he announced that he and his wife are getting a divorce.

Steve and his wife, Alejandra, have been together for 9 years and married since 2005. The couple also has six-year-old twin daughters.
About the divorce, Steve said:

Here’s an idea, and forgive me, because I’m not sure how they do it in your home country of Canada, but if you want to show your children the adoration and love that you claim you want to show them, then you and your wife would work out your differences and stay together.
