We open exactly where we left off, with the team looking out into the crowded ice arena/cantina. Charlie Conway is at the front of the line, and the look in his eyes is focused but with a little indigestion from the tamales. He looks back at his team one last time.

Charlie: Alright Ducks, let’s put some hot sauce on these tacos…

The team looks a little confused/offended, but they head out onto the ice. They’re met with raucous “boos” and heckling. We’ll translate of few of the key insults:

Drunk fan 1: “Go home you ugly, white Americans. My dog takes dumps that are worth more. Also, I don’t even own a dog.”

Drunk fan 2: “You all look really scared and intimidated. This makes sense because you’re so far from home and in a hostile environment, hahaha!”

Drunk Fan 3: “Please, smuggle me home with you!”

They begin their warm up routine and start to work some of the butterflies out, but then team Chorizo skates out onto the ice.

Every player is twice the size as the biggest Duck (Fulton), and way less gay-looking.  They all have tattoos and scars on their faces. Some of them even have thin mustaches that only they could make look intimidating.

The ducks see them and all start feeling the pressure of the game weighing down on them. Averman even tries to escape, but Julie “The Cat” Gaffney grabs him by the back of the jersey and pulls him back onto the ice. Things are looking bleak. Even coach Bombay is offering up the option to leave Rosa and run:

Coach Bombay: “Honestly guys, I’m sure I can find somebody else…”

Nobody knows what to say or do. Even Captain Charlie Conway is speechless, but then, the unthinkable happens:

Just then, Charlie Conway Jr. pulls his face off in the middle of the ice. It turns out that it was a mask all along and behind it is none other than Adam Banks!

STOP!

That’s not what really happens… Did you actually believe me? This isn’t Mission Impossible, it’s the Mighty Ducks 4, dammit!

What happens is this:

Just as everything seems hopeless, we see a tour bus pull up outside of the arena/cantina, and their blasting Springsteen’s “Born in the USA.” (The song plays throughout the rest of the scene)

BACK TO

The Ducks, looking to their captain for leadership, Charlie doesn’t know what to say.

BACK TO

People pouring out of the bus wearing red, white and blue and holding American flags.

BACK TO

Charlie and the team decide to forfeit, and Charlie makes his way towards the referee.

BACK TO

The bus-load of fans running into the ice arena, yelling and screaming with excitement. They burst through the doors of the rink and yell out to their Mighty Ducks.

The Ducks turn around, confused and excited to see their friends and family from back home, but then they remember that Charlie is on his way to forfeit. Coach Bombay sprints over to Charlie to get him to stop. Charlie is shaking the referee’s hand with a look of disappointment and surrender. Bombay dives in between the two, hoping the deal is broken.

Until next time…
