That Funny Sports Blog

Holding Down the Fort: Conclusion

I’m the kid that decided to accept a new position at a new company the week before Spring Break. I’m the the kid that graduated and then took the first job offer that came his way. I’m the kid that writes for a sports blog instead of pursuing a real career. Hey guys, my name is Chip Adcock and I am DONE “Holding Down the Fort.”

Conclusion

Sorry that there was a delay between the last post and right now, but I am pretty sure I hit a state of depression so bad that I forgot.  Or maybe I just plain forgot.  Anyways, I have made it 7 days with zero human interaction outside of the workplace, and I have to say that I am proud of myself.  I was able to stay decently entertained for 6 straight nights by watching basketball teams I had never heard of and playing a ridiculous amount of Farmville.

I will admit that I am not writing this current post from the Fort, but actually from my parents home in Brentwood, TN.  Yesterday afternoon, I actually gave up on being bored in Knoxville and drove back home so that I could be bored in Brentwood (BHS kids will enjoy that joke).

First, I would like to thank all of the KB faithful that have sent me text messages (Austin Stanley and Will Sovine) or called me (Mom) to see how I was doing.  I also would like to say that during this process, Korked Bats received its first comment from a girl (Holly Feldhacker) in a really long time.  Sorry guys, she is taken.

Finally, I would like to give a big shout out to my friend, Quinn Cannington. For those of you outside of Knoxville, Quinn is a walk-on on the University of Tennessee Basketball team and he is now the winning-est player in UT Basketball history.  He is a great kid and I expect a lot out of Quinn in the NBA next season… Okay, not really, but he is a great guy.

Anyways, have a great weekend and if you went to Florida this past week, I will stick to my original statement… SUCK IT!!!
