Did You Say You Wanna Hear Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” In The Style Of A 1940’s Race Announcer? Well, Here You Go…
So I guess Eminem dropped new music today which is fitting, because I discovered this video today from jazz vocalist Elise Roth, who’s recorded the first verse of Lose Yourself – which lest we not forget won a damn Oscar – in the style of a 1940s race announcer. I haven’t listened to the new Shady album yet. I still can’t stop listening to Man On The Moon III from Kid Cudi. from last week. But I’m sure I’ll get around to Slim soon. But I did watch this video. In fact, I watched it a couple times.
I don’t know why I enjoyed this as much as I did, but shout out to Elise for nailing it. And shout out to Eminem for still dropping new albums. Want my not-so-hot (but some people may dispute it greatly) hip-hop take? Eminem is the greatest lyricist of all-time. There. I said it. Now send your hate tweets. Send me your hate emails. Send me your hate mail (shoutout Stan). I’m ready for it.
