Considering he’s the only running back in the sport who consistently puts up video game numbers, Old Spice went with the artistic decision to make Derrick Henry’s commercial a video game. And honestly, if I didn’t know that going in, I wouldn’t have noticed. Because this commercial showcases what appears to be every real-life Derrick Henry run. In fact, this is a pretty tame run compared to most of the real runs Derrick delivers.

Another question, since this commercial was digitally made, and features a Tennessee Titans running back, why does it take place in Los Angeles? If this was a real commercial, I’d get it. Most commercials take place in L.A. because it’s right there next to Hollywood. But with this commercial being a poor-man’s PIXAR film, this thing could’ve taken place anywhere. Bangladesh. The Great Wall of China. Or, I dunno, NASHVILLE, where Derrick Henry lives and works. Just a weird decision, in my opinion. Do they cut costs by digitally setting the commercial in digital L.A.?

Anyway, shout out to Old Spice for recognizing real talent. Derrick Henry should be the spokesman for every product, in our biased opinion.
