Black? Sports Online

This morning I was making my morning rounds on the Internet. I stop by ESPN.com, SI.com, Deadspin.com, Candystand.com, and of course BlackSportsOnline.com. You know, to find out what’s going on in the black community. Because like a NASCAR fan, I like ALL races!

However, today something caught my eye about the website’s head banner.

No, it’s not the girl on the far left that looks like Eminem. لعبة جاك بوت Nor is it the girl on the far right who forgot to put on pants (apparently, she forgot Jason Campbell not only was traded to the Oakland Raiders but also isn’t good enough to have anyone wear his jersey). ربح المال عن طريق اللعب No, it wasn’t either of those things. تعلم بوكر

The thing that caught my eye was the fact that Drew Brees is on this website’s banner. If you don’t see the weirdness in this fact, allow me to remind you that the name of this website is Black Sports Online.

The only thing black about Drew Brees are his pants. Was this some sort of joke? Was the guy who made this banner color blind? Is Drew Brees loved that much by the black community? I could maybe see Tom from MySpace being on there, or that white guy from The Cosby Show, but Drew Brees? Really? I’m extremely baffled as to why Drew Brees is one of the covermen for Black Sports Online.

Austin

Austin hosts a country music morning radio show in Chicago after nearly a decade in sports talk radio (The Jim Rome Show, Steve Gorman SPORTS!) Colin Cowherd and Smash Mouth follow him on Twitter and he wears pants every day.
