So April 4th every year USED TO BE recognized as Brett Favre day by me and my friends (Evan Foster, Ross Shewmake and I believe maybe Chris Powers and/or Julian Wiggins) growing up. From elementary school all the way through high school, we would rock our Brett Favre jerseys to school and celebrate the life and career of everyone’s favorite gunslinging, wreckless with the football, routinely throw-in-to-double-coverage, Wrangler Jeans salesman. Yeah, it’s safe to say we got a lot of chicks growing up. Now you’re probably wondering, with such an infatuation for this Copper Fit spokesman, we had to have grown up in Green Bay or somewhere in Wisconsin, right? And while I do love our nation’s Dairyland (Green Lake, WI is one of my favorite places in America)… unfortunately…

No.

This was in Nashville, Tennessee. Which then probably leads you to wonder if we were all just coincidentally Packers fans?

No.

We were all Titans fans (aside from one random Jets fan – shoutout Evan! – and one random Eagles fan – whats up, Julian!). But for whatever reason, growing up (before the Titans moved to Nashville) we all owned Brett Favre jerseys. Apparently, it was like a Michael Jordan jersey of the ’90s or a Steph Curry jersey for today’s generation. If you grew up in a non-NFL market, you – for whatever reason – owned a Brett Favre jersey. It went portable cd player with anti-shock protection, pogs, and a Brett Favre jersey as the things every ’90s kid (outside of Chicago) owned. So it only made sense to dedicate the day of 4-4 to ol’ number 4.

Well… until now.

I think it’s maybe time we table Brett Favre Day. Should we have tabled it 14 years ago when we saw his Brett’s Crocs and Lil’ Gunslinger thanks to Deadspin? Yeah, probably, but we didn’t know any better back then. However, now with him stealing money from welfare funds in Mississippi…. ALLEGEDLY (don’t sue us like McAfee)… maybe it’s time we dedicate 4-4 day to someone else. Preferably someone who didn’t use state funds to build a volleyball facility for his daughter (allegedly), ya know? Like maybe a quarterback who’s known for being good, is easy to root for, and maybe didn’t pull of the largest corruption case in Mississippi state history (allegedly). I dunno, just a hunch. I’m open to suggestions here. And then whatever we decide, I’ll bring forth to our founding fathers Evan, Ross, Chris and/or Julian to ultimately decide.

On second thought, you can sue us if you’d like to Brett. Could be fun!

This will forever be my favorite picture of Big Ben Roethlisberger. Will I ever stop using it? No, absolutely not. If I could make it my drivers license photo I would.

Today, March 2nd is this legend’s birthday. The Big 3-9 for the Big Benny.

When you take a look around the league these days, especially with Philip Rivers riding off into the sunset with his 18 – wait, now 19 – children, the average age of today’s quarterback is going down. With the exception of Tom Brady, the ageless wonder, it has been increasingly difficult for aging quarterbacks to find success in the NFL. What better way to celebrate 39 than by seeing where other notable quarterbacks were at his age.

With Philip Rivers retiring, large-and-in-charge Benjamin is the last quarterback standing, so-to-speak, from the 2004 NFL Draft. I think he’s earned the right to call himself an “old guy.” But being 39, doesn’t necessarily make you old, just ask Thomas Brady and his TB12 Method. So how does Sizable Ben stack up against other 39-year-olds?

Terry Bradshaw

What better way to start this list than with a former Steeler quarterback great, Terry Bradshaw. Some argue that Terry is “the original TB12.” The former number 1 overall pick and 4-time Super Bowl champ clearly didn’t need to play until 39 to find success. Terry retired as a 33-year-old and presumably started his career with NFL Fox? Just a guess.

Dan Marino

Now that we’ve covered the former Steeler quarterback, what about a quarterback that’s actually from Pittsburgh. Danny Marino, born and raised in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh and even played his college ball at the University of Pittsburgh in the same neighborhood. العاب قمار Dan was lucky enough to play his entire career with the Dolphins until 1999. Dan turned 39 in 2000. Looks like we’re 0 for 2 so far. Dan may not have won a Super Bowl, but he’s been in at least 1 more movie than Enormous Ben.

Brett Favre

No, Brett wasn’t slinging Copper Fit or Wrangler Jeans yet. At 39, Brett was traded to the New York Jets for a conditional fifth-round pick. He had a surprisingly similar season to Immense Ben this past season. He led the Jets to an 8-3 start and then proceeded to lose the next 4 out of 5 games to end the season. Not gonna lie, I’d rather play for the Jeans than the Jets.

Josh McCown

Speaking of the Jets, do they just habitually sign 39-year-old quarterbacks? Do they know they can sign younger guys? Josh, who I feel like has been on almost every team in the NFL, spent his 39th year with the Jets. Josh was competing with Teddy Bridgewater (before he was traded to the Saints) and Sam Darnold for the coveted* starting spot. Perhaps we’ll see Massive Benjamin competing with Mason Rudolph and Josh Dobbs this year? Only time will tell.

Drew Brees

39 wasn’t the best year for Drew Brees. Sure, he was still a starting quarterback in the NFL, but let’s call that season a wash for him. Or let’s not call it, depending on which referee you ask.

Peyton Manning

Here we go, FINALLY! A quarterback who found success at 39. Peyton helped lead the Broncos to a Super Bowl. العب بلاك جاك اون لاين The first quarterback to win a Super Bowl with 2 different teams. While it doesn’t seem like Colossal Ben isn’t going to be suiting up in a different jersey this year, it’s reassuring to know that a great defense can help lead you to a Super Bowl. Just ask Peyton.

Tom Brady

The anomaly. The only person that has arguably gotten better with age in the NFL. 39 for Tom, at this point, feels like decades ago. I’m pretty sure I was still in diapers when Tom was 39. Thomas “The Goat” Brady won his FIFTH Super Bowl at age 39. Maybe there really is some method to the TB12 madness. Which Super Bowl was that, you ask? Oh, just the most ridiculous Super Bowl win of his career when the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead.

Also, did you guys know Tom Brady is 43?

HATTIESBURG, MISS — Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Brett Favre accidentally sent a picture of something other than his junk to his followers last night on Snapchat.

The former Packers quarterback quickly took to Twitter to claim he was hacked before admitting that he just hit the wrong button.

“I apologize for the situation. It’s clearly not what I was trying to do,” Favre said. The 46-year-old admits that sending a picture of something other than his junk is way off brand and not who he is.

“I kinda hit the wrong button and it sucks. It was meant to be private. We’re all one click away from placing something in the wrong place, and I suffered from that this morning,” Favre added.

Favre says he will now focus on returning to what got him to where he is at today. “Throwing picks and snapping d*cks!” he said with a dubious smile.

“Plus, how else am I going to show off this new pair of Crocs I just got?” he asked.

Favre’s Phone Photo Fiasco

Minnesota Vikings’ Quarterback Brett Favre has gotten into some trouble with his cell phone. It was reported that during his time with the New York Jets, Favre had sexted a female fan a picture of his duck.

Favre famously spends his off-seasons at his farm in his hometown of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. And on that farm he has a horse. And on that farm he has a pig. And on that farm he has a duck. While he loves everything about his farm, he loves his duck very much and usually refers to it as his “little friend” in conversation.

Sexting (short for “sending a text”) is not something that should be done carelessly. You could be costing yourself or your parents a lot of money without even knowing it, depending on your particular cell phone plan. This applies to both the sender and the receiver. This is especially the case with picture messages, which are larger files and therefore require sending more data from phone-to-phone. You should always ask permission from your parents before sending a text or, also known as, “sexting.”

Favre is known for being very kind to his fans. This particular fan was Jenn Sterger, who had joined the New York Jets as an in-house sideline reporter. She does not have any particular problem with ducks, she just never really asked to see his duck and found it a bit odd for him to do so unannounced.

Cell phones are a privilege, not a right. It is important to be considerate of others when using your phone.

Please stop asking for Peyton Manning and let’s focus on getting the good looking players to play here instead. I don’t know if people realize that Peyton Manning isn’t looking quite as dreamy as he was in the past. Or ever. He isn’t quite as young as he used to be AND he is still just as married to his first love. Let’s send him to be married quarterback buddies with Drew Brees and his beautiful wife. Let him go, Tennessee. We need handsome single quarterbacks to come in. I was always taught to not bring up a problem without a solution. Ladies, try these on for size. While they don’t have as much money, they don’t have as much forehead either.

1. Mark Sanchez

Have you seen this guy? I mean, have you seen him play football? He is so good at football. Kinda. Bud Adams, stop having secret meetings with Peyton and start having meetings with this guy. He is bi-racial and also smart. He can’t help it that he gets mistaken for a young Antonio Banderas when he gracefully moves around the football field. He likes musicals and isn’t afraid to show it? That’s the kind of man the Titans need.

2. Tim Tebow

Oh shut up all of you nay-sayers. He is tall. He has dreamy blue eyes. He has really good penmanship to put those little tiny letters and numbers in his eye black. He probably opens doors for girls. He pays for the meals and then doesn’t expect anything in return. He thinks that Butterfly Kisses is not only a great way to show affection, but also a great song. All of these things help with sports.

But if the Titans are bound and determined to get someone toward the end of their career, then fine. Just give us something to work with. And by something to work with, I mean…

3. Brett Favre

He’s turned into quite the bad boy these days, which the ladies love. We love it until it gets to Tiger Woods status, but then still, it might be okay. You will have to watch his cell phone and watch him around the ladies. But lets be real, with what football player is that not the case? Well, except for #2 on my list. And #1 could probably get away with it for a while.

Nashville, I hope you at least try to not bring Peyton Manning here. Please. Matt Hasselback is already taken. Jake Locker married too young, and girls around here are trying to find someone special.
