Whoa! Call off the dogs. I mean damn, ESPN. All Dana White did was slap his wife a couple of times in a nightclub on video. No need to come down on the guy so hard with phrases like, “He’s a friend” and “I love him.” And then Stephen A. really brings down the wrath of God by saying, “I just wish the best for him and his family.” You would think that with ESPN’s business ventures in mind, as direct partners with the UFC, they would maybe take it easy on their reporting and coverage on the absolute scumbag that is Dana White.

But real talk: what in the hell?!

Now, it should be noted that as biased as ESPN is in their coverage of things they air on their network (like the SEC, the NBA and anything the Manning brothers do), we too carry similar biases. Not sure if you picked up on this fact or not, but we kinda like Derrick Henry. And for as much as we like Derrick Henry, we carry that same amount of disdain for Dana White. And the UFC. Don’t get me wrong, mixed martial arts is awesome. But when UFC had our Instagram account permanently deactivated, it changed how we viewed the league and the human penis who runs it. We worked extremely hard for a year half growing our Instagram account, loading it with content, and watching the follower count grow. And after posting one :15 second clip (shorter than the clip of him hitting his wife) of a fight that had already concluded, our account was gone. No warning. No strike. Just gone. Like Dana’s hair. So yeah. We hate him. Which means our reporting on the fact that he literally committed domestic violence ON TAPE only adds gas to the heaping fire we already had burning under him.

So when the World Wide Leader fails to lead in their coverage of this disgusting human and his even more disgusting actions, it’s pretty damning, offensive, and quite frankly, frustrating.

And to the UFC stans who feel the need to defend Dana’s actions – despite the fact that Dana himself isn’t even defending his actions – saying things like, “But Dana’s wife hit him first!” It doesn’t matter when or if a woman hits you. You never hit a woman. Never. Like never ever. Never ever ever. Just never. And you certainly don’t do it twice like Dana did in the video.

But hey, at least Stephen A. Smith had the balls to go on national TV to say that a guy who slapped his wife is his “friend” and he wishes “the best for him and his family.” Hopefully, the UFC is able to recover from this extremely damning PR hit faster than the fighters in their league recover from bouts. Ya know, because they don’t get long-term health insurance and all.

What’s the old saying? An enemy of my enemy is my friend? There’s no truer sentiment that we’re feeling at Korked Bats right now than this.

Personally, I used to feel like Jake Paul was a talentless hack who got popular off the success of his talentless hack brother, a guy who is a jack of all trades and a master of literally none of them, and a guy who had to resort to boxing because that was the only thing barbaric enough for that imbecile to do well because it’s the only thing he could do while getting away with constantly drooling and looking concussed in public.

Which, don’t get me wrong, I still feel that way about him. But now, I feel that way about him but am also all in on his new Dana White diss track.

If Korked Bats was a country, this would be our national anthem.

Is it petty? You betcha! Does it flow? Not well. But do we love the lyrics? Of course. I used to think Eminem was the most lyrically gifted rapper of our generation, but there may be a new challenger. Plus, I have to resepct his artistic decision in the video to take that toilet plunger to that fake Dana White’s bald head.

Dana White sucks. And that’s merely coming from the stance that he had our Instagram account taken down. But when you add all of his mistreatment of fighters to the list, it only makes him more of a douchebag. If anyone is rooting for that fat Mr. Clean to get canceled, ousted or even just arrested for tax evasion or something, it’s us. So if Jake Paul is the man with the platform that’s going to try and expose him, we’ll be sitting front row chowing down popcorn like that Bill Hader GIF. Jake may have the musical talent of Rebecca Black and the I.Q. of a broken stapler, but we’re all in with him in this movement to oust the biggest doucher in sports.

I know this has been a common complaint among many UFC fans over the last couple of years, so I decided to give my take on it.

It couldn’t have come at a better time, seeing as how Stephen A. and ESPN as a whole are in hot water right now in regards to talent placement and other comments recently made by some of their top-line personalities.

So, here’s just a few things/people/noises that I would rather hear over a Stephen A Smith led UFC broadcast:

#3: TikTok Influencer/UFC Reporter Addison Rae

Does she know what the UFC is? Probably not, but she still managed to make waves recently by taking a red carpet reporter-type role, causing several thousand Twitter egg “Capital J” journalists to collectively lose their minds over their 17-year-old college degrees they earned from WriteAboutSports University. Not me though, I would rather watch millions of the most cringe-worthy TikTok’s ever created over hearing Stephen A trying to break down a Khabib chokehold.

#2: The AMBER Alert System Noise

Nothing will awaken you from a good nap like this bad boy right here. Did a child in a location 6 hours away from me just get abducted, or are we under threat of the Earth being launched into the Sun? It’s hard to tell the difference based off this eardrum-piercing screech. And, honestly, what do they expect me to do with this information? Stop the abduction myself single-handedly? Literally, every vehicle in southern middle Tennessee looks like it would fit a typical AMBER Alert description.

Why don’t they tell Stephen A. to go stop it since he can apparently do everything? Just tell him to be careful if he has to cross borders where the people may speak another language. In his opinion, that would be bad for the image of the sport of child rescuing…

#1: Any Song By The Band “Sugarland“

Normally, any song by Sugarland and lead vocalist Jennifer Nettles is enough to make me want to remove myself from the modern world and become a monk that just sits on top of a mountain for days on end. Now, the song “Stuck Like Glue” and Stephen A.’s rambling are both battling for the title of the most annoying noise in the world, and it’s looking like it could be one of those eternal battles that even our children will one day discuss.
