With The Braves In The World Series, It Got Us Thinking: When Are We Getting Season 3 of ‘Atlanta?!’
With the our Atlanta Braves back in the World Series for the first time since Will Smith was better known for being a rapper than a closer, it got us thinking of our favorite things from Atlanta: Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, Coca-Cola, that MARTA bus meme, and of course Atlanta. As in the TV show by Donald Glover.
No offense to the Braves and other Atlanta sports teams – especially since we are now a #BravesBlog for the World Series – but Atlanta is the only thing from the city to have won any hardware recently (two Golden Globes, five Emmys). Unless you count Atlanta United, which for the sake of this reference, we do not.
So where the heck has this show been? Feels like the Falcons were in the Super Bowl the last time this show dropped.
Well, I did some digging and there is good news. Some pretty recent good news at that. Apparently, the show has finished filming.
Emmy nominee Brian Tyree Henry confirms that Atlanta season 3 is officially done filming and asks fans to be patient for the series’ return. Henry stars in the series as Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles, an up-and-coming rapper from a low-income area of the titular Georgia capital who struggles with the newfound fame from his music and the attention it brings. البلاك جاك Alfred must navigate through his rising career with the help of his struggling cousin/manager Earnest “Earn” Marks, Earn’s on-again-off-again baby mama Van and Alfred’s visionary right-hand man Darius.

Paper Boi is going to be in the upcoming Marvel movie Eternals (drops November 5th), and if it weren’t for him answering questions at a presser for that movie, we probably never would’ve gotten this intel. But regardless, this is great news. سباق الأحصنة Grand news. Atlanta is one of the best shows on television, and the fact that we’ve had to wait so long between seasons only adds to that want for the show. كيف ربح المال But Donnie G., you better hurry up and drop the new season, because there are so many new shows and new seasons of old shows being released. Ozark, You, I still need to watch Squid Game.
Anyway, Atlanta may be a top 3 city for me personally behind only Nashville and Chicago. And Atlanta may be a top 3 TV show for me personally behind only Succession and Billions.
