The two most delightfully cheesiest things of the ’80s and ’90s were action movies and Mentos commercials. Neither of them could ever happen and rarely made sense, but they were a delight to watch. Well, thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet, the two have finally come together.
Someone took this chase scene from Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Bloodsport, and edited it to look like your generic Mentos commercial, and it’s perfect.
Jean-Claude Van Damme’s sport jacket used to be black, but he accidentally sat on a park bench with gold wet paint, popped a couple of Mentos, then got the idea to just roll around on the park bench to turn his whole jacket gold. Mentos. The Freshmaker.
