The Top 4 Plays Of 1st Round Pick Isaiah Wilson’s Career With The Titans
Last night, Titans fans were minding their own damn business on Twitter when out of nowhere they were slapped in the face by this 2×4 of a tweet from 2020 first round draft pick Isaiah Wilson.

The tweet has since been deleted, but as my former boss Jim Rome always says, “The internet is written in ink.” That damage has been done. There’s no putting that genie back in that bottle. Even if you rub it the right way. Ok, that’s enough analogies.
Look, I’m no relationship expert (or divorce attorney) but it appears as though this may mark the end of Isaiah Wilson’s time in Tennessee. Not sure. But I think it was the “I’m done with football as a Titan” part which led me to this conclusion.
Which, if this is the case, I felt today should be a time of reflection for Titans fans (or Georgia Bulldogs fans who were hoping to see their first-round pick succeed in the NFL). So I figured I’d rank the top 4 plays of Isaiah Wilson’s young NFL career. Yes, Isaiah only played in 4 snaps in his first year, but if you think about it, that’s only 59 fewer snaps than Patrick Mahomes played in his rookie year. And now he’s an NFL and Super Bowl MVP. So, who knows what the future holds for I-Willy?
4. That one kneel down at the end of the Colts game
This was an important snap for the Titans because it meant they were about to win a game. Credit Isaiah for not only dressing for this game but also knowing where his helmet was on the sidelines so he could take the field for the victory formation. Would’ve sucked if he was like The Famous Jet Jackson from Friday Night Lights (the movie, not the TV show) and couldn’t take the field, because he didn’t know where his helmet was, resulting in the loss of Boobie Miles for the season.
3. That other kneel down at the end of the Colts game
Look, it’s not every year the Titans beat the Colts (And unfortunately, I mean that literally), so to say Isaiah Wilson had a hand in one of these wins is huge. More than most Titans could say during their rookie years. This snap often gets forgotten about because it’s sandwiched between the first and the last kneel down of the game but don’t underestimate how important this play was.
2. That third kneel down at the end of the Colts game
This was the one that sealed the deal. It confirmed the victory for the Titans. And I’m proud to say the Titans first round draft pick was on the field for it. That’s talent, folks. This very easily could’ve been the top play on this list had it not been for…
1. That extra point from the Colts game
Shout out to Robert for the video here. Just a truly remarkable performance. This play gets the top spot despite Isaiah getting knocked on his ass because it’s the only play Isaiah was in on that resulted in the Titans scoring. That’s important to note. Without this play, the Titans would’ve only beaten the Colts 44-26 that day. And on this play Isaiah was able to make his 6’6″ 351 lb. frame useful by serving as a glorified tree stump for defenders to have to go around to penetrate the line. You can’t teach that kind of athleticism.

So there you have it. The top plays of Isaiah Wilson’s young career. If we were to rank his top off-the-field moments for Isaiah Wilson, that list would be much longer, including highlights such as:
- a DUI arrest before the season opener
- this one involved doing donuts on Charlotte Pike
- not one, but two trips to the COVID list
- getting suspended by the team
- a New Year’s Eve party on a boat
Classic! Well, it’s been fun, Isaiah. And by fun, I mean for you. Because it sucks knowing your team blew a first round draft pick on a guy who never wanted to show up to work in the first place. Great! Grand! Awesome!
