The Junk Drawer: Grit’s Final Episode & Guest Host Chris Rongey
I told myself I wouldn’t cry.
This is it. Almost a year after starting this podcast, one of our own is leaving. And no, not A.D., who legitimately left this week. I’m talking about everyone’s favorite bearded, beer-drinking, Alex Jones impersonating, non-TikTok recording, closeted studio sitting, “what’s goin’ on fellas?” saying, Grit.
This week’s episode was his last as he’s accepted a gig to produce Zero Blog Thirty on Barstool Sports. It’s a truly deserving gig for one of the most talented dudes on the Internet. I’m sure I can speak for A.D. here, but we’re really going to miss laughing with him on Mondays every week.
Anyway, as for this week’s episode, since A.D. is in Costa Rica this week, our good friend Chris Rongey (previously from 670 The Score – Chicago, 101 ESPN – St. Louis, Chicago White Sox pre and post game host)
We talk normalizing eating ice cream cones in MLB dugouts, Super League drama, MLB’s dumb blackout rules, the insanely fun Dodgers-Padres series, why do people still hate Joe Buck?, and more.
