I mean, damn. We sure Tyrod Taylor was getting a pain-killing injection or a pain/killing injection? Imagine going into to the doctor to relieve a little discomfort and walking out with a needle stuck in your lung.
Who the hell is the Chargers team doctor? Jack Kavorkian? You have one job, Doc. And that’s to keep these guys healthy and back on the field as soon as possible. Not to prolong their injury into something even more severe. And certainly not to poke a dude’s lungs like it’s a cake in the oven, poking with a toothpick to make sure the center is baked enough.
Although, the conspiracy theorist in me says: we all know how important fantasy leagues have gotten over the years. Maybe the Chargers team doctor had Justin Herbert on his team? Or maybe, the Chargers team doctor is locked up in a closet somewhere, and THIS was their doctor on Sunday…
Look, I’m not one to judge. In fact, if this were the case, I think we could all appreciate the competitive spirit and the extensive measures that he went to earn a starting job. You don’t see that very much these days. The commitment just isn’t there. It’s a shame really.
