New Less Offensive Redskins Mascot Ideas [UPDATED]
The Washington Redskins have been under a lot of fire recently for their poor defense mascot choice. The Redskins name is offensive to most Native Americans and many have been clamoring for the franchise to change their name. A change like this would be monumental and would cost a lot, so to make it easier for the franchise, we decided to come up with some nicknames and logos that wouldn’t require a whole lot of change. Here they are:
The most offensive thing about this mascot is the puka shell necklace.
• • •
With this one, you won’t have to chance the logo much, and it sends a good message.
• • •
Replace the red skin with red hair.
Or, this mascot could also be referred to as:
We all know they get beat like one.
• • •
If you’re really attached to indian mascots, just use one of the many teams that ISN’T catching flack.
• • •
Although, this mascot is offensive to cavemen.
• • •
The only thing scarier than this mascot is how bad the Redskins’ defense is.
• • •
He’s the most powerful man in Washington… He’s bad, for the greater good.
• • •
The only non-Native American person who wears face paint and hair feathers.
• • •
It’s like a darker shade of redskin.
• • •
This mascot says, “I am the law.” While their current mascot says, “I am the flaw.”
• • •
More like No Country For Old Racist Mascots, amirite?!
• • •
This one makes too much sense.
You forgot one…Just throw a red potato on the helmet and the problem is solved!
