Nationals: Ok, Now They’re Done.

The Washington Nationals lost to the Florida Marlins last night, 9-6.

Of their 89 losses this season, I think it’s safe to say that this one was the absolute worst.

With last nights loss, the Washington Nationals lost any hope of making it to the National League Playoffs.

Now a lot of you may be thinking, “Why is this a surprise? The Nationals have been the worst team in the Majors since the beginning of the season.”

And you may be right.

But two nights ago, I changed my heart in the name of D.C. I put all I had behind this team. I put my emotions and everything I had behind the Nationals.

Two nights ago, the Nationals were still mathematically in contention for the NL Wild Card slot.

But like an elevator, they continue to let me down.

For everyone, who hopped on the band wagon with me… I’m going to ask you to hop off. The wagon broke and we can no longer ford the river. All we can do now is sit here and die of dysentery. And the worst news, we have to wait till next April to reset the game.

So let’s join the Cubs fans on this one and say, “There’s always next year!”

Only next year, the Nationals have Strasburg (as they tap the tips of their fingers like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons)!
