LeBron James’ Lifelong Search For Friendship: I’m Just Like Tebow Edition
Another installment in our ever-changing, always growing series LeBron James’ Lifelong Search for Friendship. Today, we examine LeBron’s recent parasitic latching onto the hottest thing in sports right now, Tim Tebow.
Since LeBron wants attention and friends so badly, it only makes sense that he tries to insert himself into the limelight via media darling Tim Tebow. Before the Miami Heat’s game Friday night against the Denver Nuggets, James decided to stay on the topic of basketball by bringing up similarities between he and Tebow.
“I love to see what a guy can do when his back is up against the wall and everybody counts him out. I’m in that same boat sometimes.”
Though I have yet to see Tebow miss half of his 4th quarter free throws in a tight game or fail to show up at all for an entire playoff series, King James may be stretching a bit here. LeBron continued:
“I can relate to him a lot. I see how the media plays it sometimes and how the critics go at him, to see him prove them wrong … he continues to stay positive and move forward. You respect that.”
The main difference is that Tim Tebow has actually proved people wrong, instead of justifying their doubts on a nightly basis.
