Giving Thanks, Jock Style

I am friends with a few big deal athletes on Facebook. Not that I am bragging or anything (I am), but I have noticed that many of them have been jumping on the November and giving thanks in their Facebook status update wagon. Because more people are reading The Ladies Room then are following most athletes on Facebook, I thought I would share what I’ve seen.

  • Kris Humphries is “totally thankful for putting bros before hoes this Thanksgiving.”
  • Charles Barkley is “thankful that SNL is making me relevant again. Shout out to Kenan! Whoop Whoop.”
  • Kenan Thompson is “thankful that he has more than just Star Jones in his impressions tool belt.”
  • Jake Locker is “thankful for Matt Hasselbeck trying to elbow a teammate in the head in the middle of a football game.”
  • Tim Hasselbeck “is thankful for his wife being really good friends with Barbara Walters and not really good friends with Rosie O’Donnell.”
  • Tony Parker is “thankful for France.”
  • Peyton Manning is “thankful for the old days when I wasn’t injured and we played football well. Is it well or is it good? Either way, we suck right now. Like Lions kind of suck. We are the new Lions.  &*#$!”
  • Michael Vick is “thankful for jail that taught me how to swing guys around by their long hair braids instead of fighting dogs and stuff.”
  • Jay Cutler is “so so thankful for someone who is kind and selfless that will nurse me back to health. Emphasis on kind.”
  • Serena Williams is “thankful for the song Bootylicious.”
  • Tim Tebow is “thankful for being thankful and for smiling.”
  • Kobe Bryant is “thankful for 5 dollar footlongs.”
  • Rick Fox is “thankful for retirement and for my good looking face.”
  • Chris Johnson is “thankful fo be the fastest runner eva invent’d by da media. smh. Also, GOD 100.”
  • Tony Romo is “thankful for Walker Texas Ranger first and Muscle Milk second.”
  • Walker Texas Ranger is “thankful for karate.”
  • Tiger Woods is “thankful for women who don’t pay attention to the news.”

Now, these are just a few of the ones I have seen so far. The closer we get to Thanksgiving, the more people get misty eyed, which means more listing off things that they are thankful for, so there could always be more where this came from.

What are you thankful for, Ladies?
