Eagles Find The Only Thing Worse Than A Loss… A Tie
Life in Philadelphia is not good at the moment. Yes, we’re still in the midst of a global pandemic, but even more dire, the Eagles are winless after 3 weeks. Worse yet, they keep coming up with new ways to infuriate this city with their crap play.

In the latest installment of, “Why do I watch this crap team?,” the Eagles found themselves down a touchdown with time expiring to the f***ing Bengals. Yes, the same Bengals who went 2-14 last year. With Wentz looking horrible, there was little hope, but miraculously, they tied it up to force OT. With seconds left in overtime, the Eagles lined up for a game winning field goal only to take 2 penalties, and punt the ball away settling for a tie.
To add salt to the wound, the city of Philadelphia had an eerie sense of deja vu as the game ended. Why? This wasn’t the first time the Eagles tied to the Bengals.
In a 2008 game against an equally bad Bengals team, the Eagles limped to a 13-13 tie. What made things worse, was the fact that quarterback and Chunky Soup HOF’er Donovan McNabb didn’t know a tie was possible… No, seriously.

“I didn’t know that. I’ve never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie.”
-Donovan Mcnabb, after tying against the bengals
Now this was 12 years ago, and the horrible memory was fading, but with the Eagles’ performance on Sunday, they ripped that scab right open, and the city of Philadelphia not only had to deal with the horrible present of this team, but also the embarrassing past. Thanks for that, Carson.
Although I am furious with the state of this team and their play, there is one bright side. That same Eagles team that tied to the Bengals wound up going 9-6-1, and making the NFC Championship game. Maybe a tie to the Bengals is the key for the Eagles making a deep playoff run! Why not? It is 2020.
