Does Aaron Rodgers Even Know What Is Going On With Aaron Rodgers?

April 29th was a rough day for Packers fans. Not as rough as January 10th was for us at Korked Bats, but still rough. Because Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants out of Green Bay. As The #1 Derrick Henry Fan Site on The Internet™, obviously, we’re not thrilled with Aaron Rodgers for undeservingly winning MVP this year, but we can still sympathize with Packers fans.

That would suck if one of the best quarterbacks in the sport up and left – and at no one’s fault other than the team’s front office. The Packers have drafted one offensive player in the first round since 2012. And that one person was Rodgers’ replacement, Jordan Love, last year… who they traded up to draft… two months after Rodgers led them to the NFC title game. That’s brutal. How can you not put young high-powered weapons around this dude? And even despite their war room incompetence he’s gotten them a game away from the Super Bowl and ran away with the division in the last two years. So why would they not see his very obvious disgruntleness (is that even a word?) and make up for it this year? But instead you draft a corner who many pegged as a second rounder? When they say cheeseheads, is that because the Packers front office has cheese for brains? #sickburn

So fast forward two days to Derby Day. Obviously, we all knew Rodgers was there with his fiancé Shailene Woodley, aka that girl from The Fault In Our Stars and Big Little Lies (WHERE IS SEASON 3, SHAILENE?!).

Oh, and he was also there with Miles Teller and his wife.

Which is kinda awkward because Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley hooked up in The Spectacular Now. They also starred in three Divergent series movies but I didn’t see any of those. And they’re set to star in their fifth movie together later this year. Hmmm? Seems sketch. If I was Aaron Rodgers, I’d be less worried about breaking up with the Packers and more worried about Shailene breaking up with me.

But anyway, obviously everyone at NBC Sports knew Rodgers was there and apparently, Mike Tirico “runs into” him. Sure, Mike. You just happened to bump into Aaron Rodgers. Uh-huh. But credit the Syracuse alum, though. You know he was hunting down #12 to get that scoop and hopefully land the first on-camera interview. Rodgers declined, but still gave Tirico a little nug.

To me, the telling quote here is that he’s pissed that the rift got out into the public. This makes sense. When people speculated Rodgers wanted out immediately after their loss to the Bucs in the playoffs, he quickly hopped on with McAfee to dispel those rumors too.

Why?

Because if there is one thing Aaron Rodgers hates, it’s his family. But if there are two things he hates, it’s his family and public drama. So of course he’s going to try and put out this fire as best as he can. But the fact that this story leaked probably only makes him more pissed – unless someone in his camp was the one who leaked it, in hopes it would sway the Packers to draft a stud wideout in the first round. But we went over this. The Packers have cheese for brains, so they went with a pick that even Mike Greenberg was clowning live.

Look, I don’t know where the hell he’s going to land. I’m just a blogger. But at the same time, I doubt even Rodgers knows. He’s probably meditating or throwing darts at a photo of his family or something. But like last offseason was the offseason of Brady, this one will be the offseason of Rodgers. So buckle up.
