Do Aerobics If You’re Thicke
When most people think of actor Alan Thicke, they automatically think of Dr. Alan Seaver from the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains.
Or for those who like really obscure 90s references, you think of Alan Thicke as Dr. Jonas Carson from Not Quite Human.
Or maybe some of you prefer naked men references, in that case, you’d remember Alan Thicke from his spread in Playgirl.
Not me.
Nope.
When I think of Alan Thicke, I think of a man with the most glorious hair in of all time the host of a 1980s televised aerobics competition.
Considering, last week’s cheerleading post, “Cheerleading Isn’t A Sport? What About…” did so well, we figured, why not cover something that is a lot nothing like cheerleading. Seriously, try and watch this video without laughing.
Some of you may think that all this is synchronized dancing. Well, let me tell you, Buster! It’s so much more than that. It’s passion. It’s desire. It’s AEROBICS!
And some of you may think that all of these guys are gay.
Well… You’re probably right. I have no defense for that argument. These guys make Elton John look like Rush Limbaugh. Heck, the guys from the second video are from San Franscisco. I’m just sayin’…
Just check out the interviews from the guys in the second video below:
FIRST GUY (A Mark Wahlburg Look Alike):
“The best thing about working with these guys is I love competing with them and they’re my best friends.”
Best friends? Is that what they’re calling it these days? More like best friends with benefits.

SECOND GUY (The White Billy Dee Williams):
“The best part about performing with these guys is they keep me in line and it’s a lot of fun.”
Could you go into detail about what “keeping you in line” means? Actually… Please don’t. I can take a hint.

THIRD GUY (Bill from Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure):
“To describe our act in one word, we’re hot!”
I actually have another word to describe it: Gay! You know, the old English definition meaning “keenly alive and exuberant.” This performance is so gay!
Watching one team dance, just isn’t enough. Enjoy this “hot” performance too!
Hilarious. I wish I had seen this 4 years ago when I was trying to come up with a talent for our high school talent show. I’m just concerned how you came across this video… casually browsing a men’s aerobics site?
