Death, Taxes, And A New Cast of Monday Night Football Announcers

Veteran ESPN anchor Steve Levy and analysts Louis Riddick and Brian Griese will take over the booth for Monday Night Football this season, the network announced Monday.

The new crew will debut Sept. 14 with the Tennessee Titans at the Denver Broncos, the second game of ESPN’s doubleheader that night.

Levy has worked for ESPN since 1993 and is one of the most recognizable anchors on SportsCenter. He has hosted the post-Super Bowl edition of SportsCenter for more than a decade and traveled to MNF games to anchor postgame coverage for three seasons.

Second, in parts of this country, there’s a saying. “Don’t like the weather? Wait 5 minutes.” In the NFL, there’s a similar saying. “Don’t like the people calling Monday Night Football? Wait 5 minutes.” Here we are on the precipice of another NFL season with another brand new Monday Night Football booth. Taylor Swift hasn’t dated as many guys as Monday Night Football has gone through since ESPN took over.

It’s insane. Monday Night Football is for broadcasters what the Cleveland Browns are for quarterbacks. They come in with a great reputation as a broadcaster (except for Jason Witten – lol, Jason Witten) and usually leave disgraced with their tails tucked between their legs. Let’s check this list of guys who have spent time in that booth over the last 14 years.

And that’s just since ESPN took over. Not even touching ABC’s revolving door of guys like Dan Fouts and Dennis Miller. Even KFC’s Colonel Sanders thinks ESPN needs to just pick a booth and stick with it already.

As for the team that is doing (at least) this season of MNF, I actually don’t dislike it. Sure, I’ll miss Steve Levy and Brian Griese calling my 11a CT Big Ten game on my TV. But this year, we’ll ALL be missing the 11a CT Big Ten game (moment of silence, pour one out). And sure, I’ll miss Steve Levy on XFL broadcasts. But again, we’ll ALL be missing the XFL this year…. and wait a minute… Is Steve Levy ‘Death’ from Final Destination? Does every sport he call die? Is the NFL going to fold after this year? Something to keep an eye on for sure.

But in addition, Brian Griese is solid and Louis Riddick is great. رهان مباشر So I think this trio will be solid. رهانات المباريات This won’t be their first season calling football games (lol, Jason Witten), they have chemistry, and it’s not like they won’t be the worst commentators to ever call MNF (again, lol, Jason Witten). But if I’m being honest, I kinda feel like that chick from John Tucker Must Die. I feel like just calling all of the Monday Night Football broadcasters “Skip” because if we give them enough time, they’ll all skip out of town, and we’ll be left having to meet and get used to a NEW booth of characters.

There’s so much turnover, I don’t know if I should allow by blackened heart to even attempt to enjoy these guys. Because who knows if they’ll be here in the morning.

Look, I’m a firm believer of the mantra: don’t be critical, without offering a solution. So I came prepared. If (and probably when) ESPN moves on from these guys, who should they give time to shine in the Monday Night Football booth? كازينو الكويت
