Comparing Free Agents: Pujols and Fielder
The 2011 MLB season wrapped up with a fairy tale ending for the St. Louis Cardinals and a Cool Runnings ending for the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals, as many of you know, won the World Series, while the Brewers, watched on TV. However, the season is now over and a new season, for the general managers, now begins. That’s right, it’s Hot Stove Report time! Big named free agents are now free to sign with any team (named the Yankees).
However, this year, Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder are two of the biggest (literally in Fielder’s case) free agents on the market, and they are both first basemen. The Yankees and Red Sox do not need a first basemen or a designated hitter because they both have really good players at both positions. But then again, I don’t need a new iPhone… Although, I’ll probably still get one.
With the exception of every other website on the Internet, Korked Bats is your Go-To-Source for all things Major League Baseball Free Agency rumors and reports. Today, we take a deeper look into the two hottest free agents, Pujols and Fielder, to help all MLB teams (and the Astros) determine which will be a better fit for their team.
