At Airport Line For Flight To Cabo, Joe Lunardi Among Last Four In
THE AIRPORT – Esteemed ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi recently wrapped up his two months of work and is already set for a vacation.
Lunardi’s work, if you want to call it that, concludes each year on Selection Sunday when the NCAA unveils the seeding for it’s annual Men’s Basketball Tournament. At 7:06pm on Sunday night, Lunardi was spotted at the airport in line for a flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Witnesses say he had two suitcases and was wearing a tropical shirt with cargo shorts and noisy flip flops.
Many long-time travelers predict Lunardi is one of the last four in, saying they wonder if he’ll be able to land a spot on the plane. Many doubt the strength of his Airline RPI (Rewards Points for International-flights).
“Yes, he has speed and agility. But is he fast enough? I mean, he barely secured a spot in line.” Yahoo! Sports Bracketologist Brad Evans said. “I just don’t know if he has what it takes to get through the many rounds of security to make it all the way [to his flight].”
While the question remains for Lunardi, there is no doubt that Bleacher Report’s Bracketologist Jordan Schwartz and The Sporting News’s Bracketologist Ryan Fagan are already in. But that’s only because no one reads their bracketology columns, which allowed them to leave early for the airport.
“If [Lunardi] gets in, I think he’ll make a lot of noise, and people will take notice,” USA Today’s Bracketologist Patrick Stevens said. “Only because he snores when he sleeps and often travels with his young children.” Many frequent fliers are hoping Lunardi doesn’t make it in and is forced in to the NIT (Non-International Travelers), which means he can only legally fly within the continental 48 states.
