A.D.’s Crown Of The Week Goes To Rex
After Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones took the Crown in the first two weeks, I scoured NFL rosters to find another Aaron to give this week’s crown. Lucky for you, Aaron Donald is NOT winning the Crown of the Week. At least not this week.
Since I am no longer picking someone who I share a first name with, this week’s winner is what I wished my parents named me, REX. Rex Burkhead. With a name like that, you know he’s a football player. And a damn good one at that. One look at Rex, and you know the guy is a Burkhead.
Rex proved himself as a complete back by rushing for 49 yards and 2 tuddy’s and adding 49 yards receiving with another tuddy. HAVE YOURSELF A DAY, REX! He was running like a well-oiled Burkhead machine. I won’t bore you with fantasy banter, but just wanted to let you know that Sexy Rexy was on my bench.
You may be asking yourself: is Rex from #Cali or is he really just that laid back and chill?
No, that’s actually just Rex surfing his way into the end zone for a t-t-t-t-TUDDY. Not only does Rex look like a chill #Cali bro surfing into the endzone, he looks like he could be the lead singer of some sick headlining band at Coachella crowd surfing during the encore.
The best part about all of this? Rex dedicated the game to James White, who recently lost his father and nearly his mother in a horrific car crash.
“We tried to go out there and play for him,” Burkhead said, via the Associated Press. “He’s a brother to me. I really feel his pain.”
If that doesn’t touch your heart, then maybe you need to see a doctor, because I don’t think you have one. Rex showing the world why football is the greatest sport.
