A Breakdown of the Chiefs’ “Spin” Play in Super Bowl LIV

Arguably the most popular play from Super Bowl LIV came in the first quarter on 4th and 1 from the 49ers’ 5-yard-line, when Andy Reid and the Chiefs elected not to kick the tying field goal, but rather go for it.

The following play resulted in a first down which ultimately led to the go-ahead touchdown a play later, but prior to all of it, the Chiefs spun in the backfield.
